Our Sunday Jazz Jam and Social continues this Sunday, May 5th with a special menu including several Mexican appetizers and entrees. Simone's opens its doors at 4pm and our live jazz begins at 5pm. Each week, our jazz musicians have been joined by 3-4 other musicians, who just want to sit in for the joy of it.

Saturday and Sunday, May 4-5th, the Grand Theatre in Ellsworth presents "Music, Music, Music" to benefit the Ellsworth Fire Department. This promises to be a nostalgic look at the 40's and 50's, including the music of Bing Crosby, Frank Sinatra, Elvis and the McGuire Sisters, and many more. Simone's will be open for dinner before the Saturday show, or you can stop in for dinner on Sunday after the show and experience our Sunday Jazz Jam and Social. Make your day complete, with a great dinner and a great show. We are located just around the corner from the Grand Theater.

50 Jazz and Food Lovers showed up for last week's Jazz Jam Social! I addition to our live jazz trio, three others joined in on vocals and bass. This week promises to be just as lively! This Sunday's appetizer specials include: Samm's Irish Nachos, Korean Baby Back Ribs1/3 Rack, (3)Lamb Kabobs with Peanut Sate, (3)Guinness Beef Sliders with Simone's Mustard Relish, DoughBoy wrapped Knockwurstwith Beet Horse radish and German Mustard, Curried Chicken Rangoons with Honey drizzle, Pan Seared Crab cake. But Simone's is the only one that offers a complete dining experience for those of us looking for elegance and romance. Simone's is like strolling into one of those wonderful restaurants in the North End in Boston--a warm neighborhood feeling combined with elegance and excellence. The staff is always present but never overbearing, the food is consistently very good, the kitchen is skilled and responsive, and the prices are sturdy but reasonable. And the lighting is perfect--dimmed electric overhead, and candles on the tables. Every other restaurant in Ellsworth is painfully overlit with little or no atmosphere. Simone's is the only place in town that understands dinner out should be a true dining getaway." Visited December 2012

It’s not too early to make your Valentine’s Day reservations! Last year, we had to turn away 22 reservation requests and walk-in parties. This year, we will celebrate Valentine’s Day on the 14th, but we will also carry our Valentine’s Specials on Friday & Saturday, February 15-16th, as well. Lobster prices across Maine are very low. To show support for our hard working lobster men & women, Simone's has lowered prices on ALL of its lobster selections, including 13 at dinner and 8 at lunch. This obviously is good for our diners, and ultimately good for our area's lobster haulers by helping to use up existing lobster stocks and cause the prices to rise. All this week, August 7-12th, Simone's is having a "He Cooks, She Cooks" clam chowder competition between Chef Ryan & Chef Samm. This friendly competition will determine whose clam chowder will reside permanently on our menu. Customers who order either a lunch or dinner entree will be offered two small cups of each chowder for FREE, along with a secret ballot and comment card. Come join in the fun!

Simone's 2nd annual Authentic Oktoberfest will be held on September 29th, starting at 3 pm (rain or shine) under the BIG tent in Simone's parking lot. Simone's Octoberfest starts shortly after the conclusion of the Chamber's Autumn Gold Chowderfest. This year's celebration includes the music of the Maine Street r& Revue, a very talented and lively 9 piece band, which will play both traditional German polkas and waltzes, along with their broad repertoire of jazz, blues & swing music. Simone's will serve authentic German foods (sausages, potato salad, sauerkraut & pretzels) along with German beers and wines. So dust off your lederhosen and dirndls and join us for a great evening of FUN, FOOD, DRINK, LIVE MUSIC & DANCE. Or maybe even enter our bratwurst or strudel eating competitions. All ages are welcome! 200 people attended last year, and we expect a bigger crowd this year. The band starts at 4:30 pm and there is a $5 cover. Inside Simone's, the Oktoberfest theme continues, with German foods and drink featured at dinner Thursday - Saturday. Inside diners will be entitled to free admission to the tent. This proved to be a popular event last year.

To mark the event, Simone's is reaching back over the past two years to bring you the "Best of Simone's" including several of our most popular dishes and other specials on Thursday - Sunday this week. Below is a TripAdvisor review just posted after our New Year's Eve Celebration. "Had a great meal and a super time at Simone's for our New Year's Eve celebration! I ordered the French onion soup as an appetizer and chicken cordon bleu as my meal. Both were delicious! We received a complementary glass of champagne to celebrate the end of the meal. Loved the celebration decorations and the pizzazz of the owners and wait staff. Really enjoyed the jazz pianist Scott Cleveland who was playing there, too! Bob Marley at The Grand in Ellsworth this Week

Comedian Bob Marley is appearing at the Grand in Ellsworth January 4-6th this week. As the Friday & Saturday shows are sold out, the Grand has added a Sunday show at 7pm. And, Simone's WILL BE OPEN FOR DINNER ON SUNDAY AT 4PM. Be sure to make your dinner reservations at Simone's for Friday, Saturday or Sunday. We will get you out in time for the show. Simone's is just a short walk from the Grand, so you can park and dine without having to find another parking space!
Simone's Will Not Be Open for the Sunday Bob Marley Show

After very busy Friday and Saturday night dinners, we have decided not to open for dinner Sunday night. Frankly, we have sold out of nearly everything on our menu, and we need more time to restock and replenish, in order to keep our offerings the freshest possible. Please enjoy the show tonight, and drive safely.
Simone's New Winter Schedule

Beginning next week, Simone's will be open Wednesday - Saturday for lunch and dinner starting at 11:30 am. We will resume Tuesday service in the Spring.
